“TOKYO Night & Light (Godzilla Projection Mapping)” Held on May 4, 2024
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government hosts year-round projection mapping displays on the façade of its Main Building No. 1, transforming it into a canvas for a variety of artistic works illuminated with light and sound. This project aims to boost nighttime tourism and create new attractions in Tokyo. As part of this project, TMG has launched a new feature celebrating the 70th anniversary of “Godzilla.”

At the venue, a booth to advertise island areas of Tokyo was set up and foods and drinks from those islands were sold.
GINZA SKY WALK 2024 Held on May 4, 2024
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government, in collaboration with the Metropolitan Expressway Company Limited, hosted the GINZA SKY WALK event, transforming the expressway route connecting Yurakucho, Ginza, and Shimbashi into a pedestrian-only pathway. Families had the unique opportunity to walk along this typically car-dominated route, enjoying the cityscape from a new perspective.

A Special Talk Show for a 555 Days to Go Event for the Deaflympics, named “Connecting with a Soundless World,” Held on May 9, 2024
To mark the 555th day until the Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics, an international multi-sport event for deaf athletes, a special talk show was held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Central Library with the aim of boosting interest in the Games and promoting understanding of an inclusive society.

The guests for the talk show were Igarashi Dai, a writer who writes about deaf culture, Nakata Mio, a member of the Japanese national deaf volleyball team, and Asahara Nobuharu, a support ambassador for the Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics.

The event concluded with all the participants expressing applause in sign language (raising and waving both hands).

A special exhibition was also held to introduce the outline of Deaflympic Games and deaf culture.
Tour of the Kanda River-Ring Road No. 7 Underground Regulating Reservoir Held on May 18, 2024
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government conducted a site tour of the Kanda River-Ring Road No. 7 Underground Regulating Reservoir (Zenpukuji River water intake facility) to deepen understanding of the purpose and effects of river facility development and to raise awareness of flood damage. Participants toured the cool underground space for about 30 minutes.
