An Office Tour Held to Let Female Junior & Senior High School Students Feel the Charm of the Digital Field on August 3, 2023
In order to promote the active participation of women in the digital field, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government held a group roundtable discussion for female junior high and senior high school students enrolled in Tokyo together with employees working in the digital field, and also conducted a tour of the offices of three companies where they could experience digital technology. The photo shows a visit to NTT DATA, Inc. (Koto Ward) on August 3.

Students sang karaoke in virtual costumes in a VR setting. The participants became singers via avatars. Through their avatars, they were able to sing and dance like professional singers in their favorite costumes.

Tokyo Metropolitan Government and Adachi Ward Joint Training for Stranded Commuters Implemented on August 4, 2023
This training was conducted in collaboration with railway operators and businesses located around Kitasenju Station so that the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, wards, and disaster prevention organizations could work together to prevent confusion and ensure safety around the station, assuming that a large number of people had difficulty in returning home due to an earthquake centering directly beneath the Tokyo metropolitan area.

Training was also conducted on the inaugural opening and operation of temporary accommodation facilities. The photo shows a temporary accommodation facility opened at Tokyo Denki University.

The training focused on preventing people from returning home all at once, protecting station users, guiding people gathering in front of the station, opening and operating a temporary accommodation facility, and supporting people returning home. All the drills concluded after receiving a comment from Vice Governor Kuronuma.

On August 26, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government held the "Great Kanto Earthquake 100th Anniversary Event" under the theme of "Learning from the 100th Anniversary of the Great Kanto Earthquake for Future Disaster Prevention," where participants rethink and learn about the importance of disaster prevention.
