“Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai” Opening Ceremony Held on February 1, 2024
On February 1, “Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai,” a new tourist attraction, was opened outside the Toyosu Market in Koto Ward. The new attraction consists of two areas: “Tokyo Toyosu Manyo Club,” a hot springs facility, and “Toyosu Jogai Edomae Market,” a food and entertainment zone where visitors can enjoy Tokyo (Edomae) gourmet food and shopping. Visitors can enjoy the characteristic liveliness of Toyosu.

Governor Koike, who attended the opening ceremony, said in her congratulatory speech, “This is a place imbued with traditions and culture that have been passed down from the Edo era. We hope that many people will visit here and enjoy the various offerings such as food, shopping, wonderful views, and baths. I sincerely hope that it will develop greatly as a new face of the waterfront area that will be loved for many years to come.

“Ms. Tokyo Agriculture, Ms. Tokyo Forestry, Mr. Tokyo Fisheries” Inauguration on February 16, 2024 Ceremony
On February 16, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government appointed young leaders who will be a driving force for public relations activities in Tokyo's agriculture, forestry, and fisheries industries as "Ms. Tokyo Agriculture," "Ms. Tokyo Forestry," and "Mr. Tokyo Fisheries." These roles were created with the aim of revitalizing the agriculture, forestry and fisheries industries and securing future support for the industries. Governor Koike said, “I hope that you will take the lead in the primary industry and your activities will make more people follow your footsteps. I would like you to actively send out messages from the three fields and convey that these primary industries offer jobs with strong potential in Tokyo.”

Governor Visits Tokyo Kodomo Sukusuku (child-rearing friendly) Housing “Neuvono Kikukawa II” on February 21, 2024
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government certifies condominiums for sale or rental as “Kodomo Sukusuku (child-rearing friendly) housing“ that have taken measures, such as incorporating aspects of design that minimize the risk of children suffering falls, to ensure safe and secure child-rearing. By certifying and announcing the certification, TMG promotes the supply of housing suitable for child-rearing and creates an environment that makes it easier for child-rearing households to choose a living environment suitable for child-rearing.

“TOKYO Night & Light” Opening Event Held on February 25, 2024
As a new tourism resource that brings color to the nightscape of Tokyo, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government has started year-round screenings of projection mapping, which uses light and sound to express a variety of the arts using the walls of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Main Building No. 1 as a canvas. On February 25, a Guinness World Records™ certification ceremony was held for the “projection mapping exhibition on the largest building (regular installation).”
