Profile table tennis player Ai Fujinuma
Born in Tochigi Prefecture. When she was in elementary school, she started playing table tennis at the local Shiroyama club. She has been representing Japan since high school and participating in many events such as team competitions, women's singles and women's doubles as one of few left-handers. She competed in the women’s doubles at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney and the women’s singles and women’s doubles at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. Retired from her active duty in March 2011.
